CASSIG Executive Board Application

Instructions: 

  1. Candidates for Executive Board will complete the application form to apply for one position: President, Vice President, Treasurer, or Secretary

  2. Candidates must be members of the California Physical Therapy Association

  3. Please complete the form by October 10th, 2019

  4. After completing the application form, please email a current headshot (avoid full body shots) to the CASSIG Secretary, Jane Mongkolvipakul, at secretary.cassig@gmail.com by October 10th, 2019 to complete your application.

Position Descriptions

Executive Board

  • President

    • The President shall be elected annually for a one-year term. The President shall act as chief spokesperson for the Student SIG and will be responsible for communications within the Student SIG and between the Student SIG’s members and the CPTA. The President shall be responsible for preparing agendas for and presiding at all Student SIG and Board meetings, shall report biannually to the Student SIG membership, and shall serve as representative to the Assembly of Representatives.

  • Vice President

    • The Vice President shall be elected annually for a one-year term. The Vice President shall assume the duties of the President at the request of the President or in the absence or incapacitation of the President. The Vice President will oversee Student SIG committees as a voting committee member.

  • Treasurer

    • The Treasurer shall be elected annually for a one-year term. The Treasurer shall prepare an annual budget based on available funds, approve all expenditures of Student SIG funds, and make a written report to the Student SIG membership at the biannual Student SIG meetings and to the Board upon request.

  • Secretary

    • The Secretary shall be elected annually for a one-year term. The Secretary shall conduct the election of Student SIG officers, be responsible for keeping the minutes of all Student SIG and Board meetings, notify Student SIG members of the date, time, and place of Student SIG meetings, maintain the Student SIG’s archives and correspondence, and make Student SIG’s minutes and Bylaws available to the membership. Will also serve as the chair of the Nominating Committee.
