Dr. Mowder-Tinney PT, PhD, NCS, CSRS, C/NDT, CEEAA is a physical therapist and a professor at South College. Her training includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Miami in Florida and a doctorate in physical therapy from NOVA Southeastern University. She has 25 years of experience in a multitude of clinical settings with the majority of experience with people with neuromuscular deficits. She is certified as a clinical specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy (ABPTS), has extensive training and is certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT), received her Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist (CSRS) from the American Stroke Association, and became certified as an Exercise Expert for Aging Adults (CEEAA) from the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy. Dr. Mowder-Tinney conducts nationwide seminars on the treatment of patients with neurological deficits, spinal cord injuries, balance challenges and Parkinson’s. In 2017, she was the recipient of the Award for Excellence in Neurologic Education from the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy of the American Physical Therapy Association.
